Fanshawe College in London, Ontario - Fanshawe, one of the country's largest colleges, with its main campus on Oxford Street East beside London International Airport, downtown campuses on Dundas Street, and intakes in September, January and May that bring tens of thousands of students including a large international cohort - is the campus with the shortest airport run on this site: ten minutes from the Oxford Street campus to YXU's carousel at a LondonLimo.net planning figure of $40-55 for a sedan. The college's year is the chauffeurs' year - the international arrivals at YXU and Pearson, the residence move-in, the industry visits by Sprinter, the convocation at the Agriplex - and the universities page has the service; this article is Fanshawe in detail.
The campus, and the airport at the end of it
Fanshawe's main campus runs along Oxford Street East from Fanshawe College Boulevard toward the airport's fence, with the residences on the campus's north side, the trades buildings, the aviation programmes' hangars at the airport itself, and the parking lots between; the downtown campuses on Dundas Street hold the digital and creative programmes. YXU's terminal is ten minutes east on Oxford Street and Crumlin Road; downtown is fifteen minutes west; the 401's Highbury exit is twenty minutes south. The neighbourhoods page has the northeast's drive times.

The intakes: September, January and May
Fanshawe's international students arrive for three intakes a year rather than one, and the desk's manifests run in late August, early January and late April: students landing at YXU on the Toronto connection are met beside the carousel and driven ten minutes to the residence or the Oxford Street apartments, and students landing at Pearson on a through ticket that ends there are met at Terminal 1 and driven two hours; the international student article is the parent's guide to either.

The ten-minute YXU run
A Fanshawe student flying home for the holidays, a visiting instructor landing on the evening Toronto flight, a parent arriving for convocation: the run between the campus and YXU is the shortest airport journey on this site, a fixed rate at any hour, with the chauffeur at the residence's door or beside the carousel; the YXU arrivals article and the YXU departures article have the airport's rules, and a student with a 6:30 a.m. flight is collected at 4:50.
The residences and the Oxford Street apartments
Fanshawe's on-campus residences on the north side and the private student apartment buildings along Oxford Street East and Cheapside Street that many international students rent: the chauffeur knows each building's door and loading zone, carries the cases in, and waits until the student is inside; a move-in from Toronto or Windsor is a van at the destination page's rate with the boxes.
The trades, the aviation programmes and the industry visits
Fanshawe's trades and technology programmes take classes to plants, sites and suppliers across the region by Sprinter or coach, the aviation programmes work at the airport's hangars, and the college's industry partners send people to the campus for demonstrations and hiring days; the group transportation page prices the class trip and the corporate account the partner's visit.
The downtown campuses
The Dundas Street campuses in the core hold the digital, media and creative programmes, and a student between the Oxford Street campus and downtown, a visiting industry speaker at the downtown campus, and the programmes' showcases at the downtown venues are in-city fixed rates; the venues page has the halls the showcases use.
Convocation at the Agriplex
Fanshawe's convocation ceremonies are held at the Western Fair District's Agriplex on Dundas Street East, ten minutes from the campus and eight from downtown, with the families flying in to YXU and Pearson and the hotels filling; a family's day is an SUV by the hour - the hotel, the Agriplex's drop, the ceremony, the photographs, lunch, and the airport - and the events page has the June dates.
The Fanshawe Falcons
The Falcons' varsity teams travel to the OCAA's colleges across the province in season, and a team's Sprinter or coach with the equipment is quoted from the schedule on the group transportation page; the college's clubs and the student union's events book the same way.
The airport-side employers
Diamond Aircraft's factory on the airport's grounds, the airport's own operations, and the east side's plants are Fanshawe's neighbours and its graduates' employers, and a Diamond customer or a plant's visitor who lands at YXU is a corporate account meet ten minutes from the terminal; the business page has the employers.
Three Fanshawe bookings, as they went
An international arrival at YXU, January. A student from Manila on the last Toronto flight, met beside the carousel at 11:50 p.m. with a board, driven ten minutes to a Cheapside Street apartment, and the parents texted at 12:05 a.m.
A trades class to a Sarnia plant, October. A coach through the partner fleet from the Oxford Street campus at 7 a.m., the plant's visitor procedures pre-cleared, and back by 4.
Convocation, June. An SUV by the hour for a family from Mumbai: the DoubleTree, the Agriplex at 9, the ceremony, the photographs, lunch in the Old East Village, and YXU at 5.
Booking it
The reservation engine prices the campus to YXU or any address in seconds; the intakes' manifests, the class trips and the convocation days are booked with the desk; the universities page has the campus.
Three questions the desk is asked about Fanshawe
Can a student be collected at the residence at 4:30 a.m. for a YXU flight? Yes - at any hour, at the fixed rate, with the small early-hours premium before 5 a.m. shown on the engine. Does the college's international office book for students? Some do through a corporate account; most parents book from abroad on the engine, and the desk answers either. Is the run to YXU really ten minutes? From the Oxford Street campus, yes - Oxford Street East to Crumlin Road; from the downtown campuses, twenty.
The college's intakes, and the desk's manifests
Fanshawe publishes its intake dates - September, January and May - and its convocation dates on its site, and the desk builds a manifest for each intake's arrival week from the parents' bookings: the YXU meets on the evening Toronto flights, the Pearson meets on the through tickets, and a shared Sprinter from Pearson when several students land on the same flight. The international student article has the parent's side.
The Oxford Street apartments, in detail
The student buildings along Oxford Street East between the campus and Highbury Avenue, and along Cheapside Street and First Street behind them, house much of the international cohort; each has a lobby with a buzzer and a loading zone of sorts, and the chauffeur carries the cases to the lobby and waits until the student is buzzed in. The neighbourhoods page has the northeast.
The aviation programmes at the airport
Fanshawe's aviation technician and pilot programmes work at the airport's hangars on the general-aviation side, five minutes from the main campus, and a visiting examiner, an airline's recruiter or a Diamond Aircraft engineer at the hangars is a corporate account meet with the airport's airside procedures known; the private jet page has the FBO side of the same airport.
The Western Fair District, beside the college
The Agriplex's convocation, the fairgrounds' September fair and the Saturday market are ten minutes from the campus, and a Fanshawe family's convocation weekend touches all three; the venues page has the district and the events page the dates.
The Falcons and the clubs, in detail
The OCAA's colleges from Windsor to Ottawa are the Falcons' away games, and a team's Sprinter with the equipment in the bays, the hotel and the return is quoted from the schedule; the student union's events, the programme showcases and the graduation parties book the party bus page's vehicles with Ontario's rules applied.
Booking checklist for a Fanshawe run
The campus or the building; the flight number for an airport meet; the student's name for the board; the residence or the apartment address; the bags; the intake week, so the desk can offer a shared Sprinter; the account or the card; and a phone number in any country. The reservation engine takes it and the desk the manifest.
The honest summary
The shortest airport run on the site, three intakes a year, a convocation at the Agriplex and a college whose neighbours are the airport and the plants: Fanshawe's year is the universities page's college version, and the YXU page has the terminal at the end of the parking lot.
A worked example: the intake week
Late August: nine Fanshawe students from Hyderabad, Manila, Lagos, Bogota and Ho Chi Minh City landing at YXU on four evening Toronto flights over three days, and three at Pearson on through tickets; the desk ran a manifest of sedan meets at the carousel, one shared Sprinter from Terminal 1 for the three Pearson arrivals, and twelve sets of parents texted at the car and the door. The international student article has the parent's version of the same week.
The winter, ten minutes from the airport
The northeast takes the squalls late and the ten-minute run is rarely more than fifteen, but the aircraft de-ice and the Toronto flight is the one delayed; the desk tracks it and the chauffeur is at the carousel when it lands rather than when it was due. The YXU page has the winter rule and the neighbourhoods page the northeast's roads.
The parents' visit
A Fanshawe student's parents from Manila fly to Pearson, are met with a board, driven to a hotel in the north or the airport cluster, and spend a day by the hour - the campus, lunch in the Old East Village, Kellogg Lane, the market - before the flight home; the hourly page prices the day.
Booking it, in one line
The reservation engine prices the campus to YXU in seconds and takes a Pearson meet with the flight number; the desk runs the intake manifests and quotes the class trip.
The desk's rule of thumb
Book the intake-week meet the day the flight is bought; take the YXU connection when the ticket allows it and be met ten minutes from the residence; book the convocation day by the hour; and let the class trip go by coach with the plant's procedures cleared. The FAQ has the rest.
