A chauffeured black car from London, Ontario to Mississauga with LondonLimo.net is 175 km east on the 401 in about an hour and fifty minutes off-peak, at a fixed rate shown before you confirm - a planning figure of $300-350 plus HST for a business sedan, $350-400 for an SUV, $560-660 for a Sprinter. Mississauga is where many of the companies London's businesses deal with keep their Canadian head offices - the Airport Corporate Centre, Meadowvale, the Hurontario corridor and the plants along Dixie and Derry - and where Pearson sits at the city's northeast corner, ten minutes from all of them. Square One, the Living Arts Centre, Port Credit, the International Centre's trade shows and Trillium Health Partners' hospitals are the other reasons the run is booked; a stop at the airport is priced as a stop.
Why Londoners go to Mississauga
For work, mostly. The pharmaceutical, technology, logistics and consumer-goods head offices that London's suppliers, sales teams and professionals serve are in Mississauga's office parks, not downtown Toronto; the trade shows at the International Centre and the Toronto Congress Centre are on Airport Road; the plants along the 401 and the 410 are the customers. And the airport is there: a London executive with a 3 p.m. meeting in Meadowvale and a 7 p.m. flight from Terminal 1 books one chauffeur for both, and a visitor landing at Pearson for a London meeting often stops at a Mississauga office first. Families come for Square One, Port Credit's waterfront, a wedding at a banquet hall on Dixie Road, or a relative at Credit Valley Hospital.

The drive
The 401 east from London through Woodstock, Cambridge and Milton to the Mississauga exits: Winston Churchill Boulevard and Mississauga Road for Meadowvale and Streetsville, Mavis and Hurontario for the City Centre, Dixie and the 410 for the airport corridor and the plants, the 403 for Erin Mills and the QEW for Port Credit. An hour and forty-five off-peak; the 401 through Milton at 7:30 a.m. adds twenty minutes and the chauffeur may use the 407 from Milton to the 410 or the 403, which is in the rate. The return against the afternoon flow is easy.

The office parks, from the chauffeur's seat
The Airport Corporate Centre off Dixie and Eglinton, with its towers and its loading zones; the Meadowvale campuses along Mississauga Road with their gatehouses; the Hurontario corridor's towers at the City Centre; the Sheridan Park research campus; the plants along Derry Road and the 410 with their visitor lots. The chauffeur knows where a car may wait at each, and an hourly Mississauga day - three offices and the airport - is cheaper than three fixed runs. The corporate account makes it a line on the invoice.
Pearson, ten minutes away
The airport is Mississauga's northeast corner, and a Mississauga run rarely stands alone: the meeting and the flight, the arrival and the office, the trade show and the Terminal 3 departure. The Pearson page has the terminals and the meeting points, and a stop at the airport on a Mississauga booking is priced as a stop; the London to Pearson page has the airport-only rate, which is a little less than the Mississauga figure.
The International Centre, the Congress Centre and the trade shows
The trade-show halls on Airport Road host the industrial, food, building and consumer shows that London's companies exhibit at and buy from, and the chauffeured run from London with the samples in the trunk, a day by the hour, and the drive home at 6 is the exhibitor's booking; a Sprinter for the sales team is the group version. The group transportation page covers the team.
Square One, Port Credit and the family Saturday
Square One and the Living Arts Centre, the Paramount Fine Foods Centre for the Raptors 905 and the concerts, Port Credit's waterfront and its restaurants, the Lakeshore's parks, Streetsville's village, and the banquet halls of Dixie Road for the weddings and the Diwali and Eid celebrations that draw families from London: an SUV or a van by the hour, the chauffeur waiting, and the drive home at whatever hour.

Trillium Health Partners and the medical run
Credit Valley Hospital in the west, Mississauga Hospital by the lake and the Queensway Health Centre are Trillium Health Partners, and patients from London are referred to them for particular specialties; the run is a chauffeured day with the chauffeur waiting at the entrance, booked on a household account by a relative anywhere. The hospitals and medical page describes how medical runs are handled.
The hotels near the airport
The Hilton, the Marriott, the Sheraton and the Westin along Dixon Road and the Airport Corporate Centre, the Hilton Garden Inn and the Novotel by the International Centre, the hotels at the City Centre: for a 6 a.m. Pearson departure or a two-day trade show, the travel desk books the room on the same file as the chauffeurs.
Winter and the 401
The London-Woodstock squalls are the risk, read on Ontario 511 before every run and routed around by Highway 7/8 when they close the 401; the 401 through Milton is cleared fast. Winter tires from November to April, all-wheel-drive SUVs on squall days, and the fixed rate unchanged whatever the highway does.
The honest alternatives
VIA Rail does not stop in Mississauga on the London line; GO Transit reaches Mississauga from Toronto but not from London; a rental car from London is the do-it-yourself option for a whole week. For a day's meetings, a trade show with samples, a family Saturday or anything that continues to the airport, the chauffeured fixed rate is the answer.
Three Mississauga bookings, as they actually ran
A pharmaceutical meeting and a flight, Tuesday. A business sedan from Masonville at 6:30 a.m. to a Meadowvale campus for 8:30, waiting by the hour, a second office at Dixie and Eglinton at 1, and Terminal 1 at 4 for a 6 p.m. flight to Calgary. On the corporate account.
A trade show, Wednesday. A luxury van from a London office at 6 a.m. with four staff and the display, the International Centre by 8, waiting through the day, and home at 7. One rate, the samples never left the vehicle.
A wedding at a banquet hall, Saturday. An executive SUV for six from Old North at 2, the hall on Dixie Road at 4, and home at midnight. Two fixed rates; nobody counted drinks.
Planning figures. Rates are LondonLimo.net planning ranges before HST, one way from downtown London; the engine quotes the exact addresses, date and vehicle. Company, venue and hospital names describe where we drive and imply no affiliation.
Brampton, Vaughan and the 410-407 corridor
Mississauga's northern neighbours share its economy: Brampton's plants and head offices along the 410 and Steeles, Vaughan's business parks and the Vaughan Mills mall by the 400, Markham's technology firms along the 407. A London run to any of them is a Mississauga-band fixed rate on the engine, and the 407 across the top of the city, which the chauffeur uses when the 401 is heavy, is in the rate. The City of Mississauga's site describes its business districts; Tourism Toronto covers the wider region.
The Mississauga hotels and the two-day trip
For a two-day set of meetings, a trade show or a 6 a.m. Pearson departure, a Mississauga hotel beats the 4 a.m. drive: the airport hotels on Dixon Road, the Hilton and the Marriott at the Airport Corporate Centre, the Delta and the Hilton Garden Inn at the City Centre, the Sheraton by the International Centre. The travel desk books the room on the file with the chauffeurs, and the hourly page explains how a two-day programme is quoted with a daily rate.
Visitors coming the other way
A Mississauga head office sending an executive to a London plant, a Meadowvale company's auditors to a London client, a Trillium specialist visiting University Hospital: the same chauffeur, the same fixed rate in reverse, met at the Mississauga office or at Pearson and delivered to London; the corporate account works for the visiting company as it does for the London one.
Winter, and the hour the run is booked
The Mississauga run is booked early - 5:30 and 6 a.m. departures for 8 a.m. meetings are the norm - and in January that means leaving London in the dark on a 401 that may have drifted overnight between Ingersoll and Woodstock; the chauffeur reads 511 at 4 a.m., leaves fifteen minutes earlier when the forecast says so, and the fixed rate is the fixed rate. The winter tires are on from November and the SUV goes on squall days.
Booking it
Two addresses on the reservation engine - a London address and the Mississauga office, hall or hospital - the date and time, the vehicle class; the fixed rate appears; add Pearson as a stop if the day ends there. A Mississauga day with three offices is booked by the hour on the same engine; standing corporate runs are set up by the desk in one call, and the rates page has the figures side by side.
Three questions the desk is asked about Mississauga
Is a Mississauga meeting plus Pearson cheaper as one booking or two? One - the meeting is a stop or an hourly wait on the airport run, and the desk prices it in a minute. Can the chauffeur wait at a trade show for eight hours? Yes, by the hour, with the samples in the vehicle and the chauffeur reachable by text. Can we be collected at Square One after a day's shopping? Yes; a fixed-rate return from any Mississauga address at a time you set or move by text.
What Mississauga looks like from the car
Office towers rising from parking lots along the 401 and the 403, the Absolute towers at the City Centre, the plants and warehouses along Dixie and Derry with their transport yards, the older village streets of Streetsville and Port Credit, the lake at the end of Hurontario, and the aircraft on approach to Pearson overhead. The chauffeur knows which of the 401, the 403 and the 407 is moving at 8 a.m., and the Mississauga city site publishes the road work that closes the rest.
