Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ) is at Enfield, 35 km and thirty to forty-five minutes north of downtown Halifax on Highway 102, with a single terminal served by Air Canada, WestJet, Porter, Flair and the transatlantic and US carriers. From London, Ontario you fly there non-stop from Pearson, on Porter from Billy Bishop, on WestJet from Hamilton, on Flair from Waterloo, or via YXU; at the far end a chauffeur meets you in the lower-level arrivals hall with your name on a board - a directory-vetted Halifax operator booked by LondonLimo.net's London desk on your account. This page describes the airport, the drive, the coast and the booking as a London traveller meets them.
Why a London traveller books the Halifax end through us
Southwestern Ontario is full of Maritimers, and the Halifax flight is a family flight: Christmas, the summer at the cottage on the South Shore, a wedding in Lunenburg, a grandparent in Dartmouth. It is also a business flight for the Atlantic offices of London's insurers and engineers, a university flight for Dalhousie and Saint Mary's, and a cruise flight for the ships that call at the Halifax Seaport. The airport is far from the city and taxis are a long metered ride; a network chauffeur at the arrivals hall with a fixed quoted rate, booked on the same confirmation as the London-side run, is the reason this page exists. The Halifax operator is vetted through the LimousineWorldwide.Directory and contracted to our standard; Nova Scotia's licensing applies and is on file.

The terminal
One building with check-in, the CATSA checkpoint and US preclearance on the upper level, and the arrivals hall with the carousels and the international customs area on the lower level exiting to the curb. It is a comfortable mid-size terminal with a pavilion for the transatlantic flights; the airport's site has the maps and the flight board, and the chauffeur waits at the bottom of the escalators by the carousels.

Where the chauffeur meets you
In the lower-level arrivals hall by the carousels with a name board, or curbside on the arrivals roadway when you text; the London desk sends the Halifax chauffeur's details the evening before and tracks the flight, timed to Atlantic time - an hour ahead of London. Thirty minutes of wait is included on a domestic arrival and sixty on an international one.
The drive: Highway 102 and the harbour
The 102 runs south from Enfield to the Bedford Highway and downtown in thirty minutes off-peak, forty-five at the peak; Dartmouth by the Highway 111 bypass and the bridges is thirty; the Halifax Seaport cruise terminal and the Westin at the foot of Hollis Street thirty-five; Peggy's Cove an hour by Highway 333; Lunenburg and Mahone Bay ninety minutes down the 103. The city's site and Discover Halifax describe the districts; the network chauffeur knows the fog on the 102 and the Macdonald Bridge closures.
Business Halifax and the Atlantic offices
The insurers, the banks' Atlantic offices, the shipbuilding yard, the Port, the universities and their hospitals, the provincial government: a London company's Halifax day is an hourly booking with the chauffeur waiting downtown, built by the London desk on the corporate account with the Pearson or Billy Bishop flight at both ends.
The cruise terminal, the South Shore and the coast
Halifax is a cruise port, and a Londoner's Canada-New England cruise may begin or end at the Seaport with a network chauffeur timed to the ship; the South Shore's Lunenburg, Mahone Bay and Chester, Peggy's Cove and the Annapolis Valley's wineries are day runs by the hour; Cape Breton is a programme. The travel desk books the inns; the wine tour page's logic applies to the Valley.

Winter and fog at Enfield
Halifax's airport is inland and its winter is wet snow and ice rather than Prairie cold; fog closes it more often than snow, and flights from Toronto delayed by either are tracked and never charged. The network chauffeur's vehicle has the winter tires the standard requires from November, and the 102 is cleared quickly.
Dalhousie, Saint Mary's and the families down east
Students from London at Dalhousie, Saint Mary's, King's College and NSCAD; families with relatives in Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford and the Valley; the summer cottage on the South Shore; Christmas with the grandparents: the Halifax run is the family route from Southwestern Ontario, and the household account books both ends - a LondonLimo.net run to Pearson or Billy Bishop and a network SUV at YHZ - on one confirmation.
Transit and the honest alternatives
Halifax Transit's MetroX 320 bus reaches downtown from the airport for a transit fare with time to spare; taxis are metered for the long run; rideshare operates. The chauffeur wins for the name board, the fixed quoted rate on the thirty-five-kilometre drive, the family with luggage and the single invoice.
Three Halifax bookings, as they actually ran
Christmas, December. A London family of four on the Air Canada non-stop from Pearson; a network SUV in the arrivals hall; a house in Bedford; the airport twelve days later. Two Halifax legs and two London legs on one household account.
An insurer's visit, Tuesday. A London executive on Porter from Billy Bishop; a network sedan at YHZ; downtown by the hour; the 5:30 p.m. flight; a LondonLimo.net chauffeur at Eireann Quay at 7:20. On the corporate account.
A cruise, September. A London couple on WestJet from Hamilton; a network sedan to the Westin; the Seaport the next morning timed to the ship; the disembarkation run to YHZ nine days later. The travel desk booked the hotel.
How the far end works. Chauffeurs at this airport are directory-vetted operators found through the LimousineWorldwide.Directory, contracted to LondonLimo.net's published standard and booked by our London desk on your account: the same vehicle classes, the same confirmation, the local chauffeur's details the evening before, one invoice. Local rates are quoted by the desk; the London-side run is priced on the engine. Airport and airline names describe where we drive and imply no affiliation.
How the network booking actually works
Book the London-side run on the reservation engine - Byron to Billy Bishop for the Porter flight, or to Pearson for the non-stop - and ask the desk for the Halifax end. The desk confirms the Halifax operator's availability and rate, adds the leg with the arrivals hall and the vehicle class to your confirmation, and the evening before sends the chauffeur's details timed to Atlantic time, an hour ahead of London. The operator is licensed in Nova Scotia, insured for hire, screens its chauffeurs, inspects its vehicles and has signed our standard; a problem on the 102 is a call to our London desk. The Halifax leg is on your LondonLimo.net invoice at the quoted rate.
What the Halifax legs cost, honestly
The thirty-five-kilometre run from Enfield is priced by the local operator above a close-in airport's run and the desk quotes it before you confirm; the South Shore and Valley days, the cruise-terminal timing and hourly days are quoted the same way, in a band comparable to our London figures. The London-side run is on the engine; there is no charge for booking both ends together.
Groups, weddings and the family gatherings
A Lunenburg wedding with a London contingent, a family reunion in the Valley, a Western research group to Dalhousie, a company's Atlantic team meeting: a network Sprinter or van at YHZ, the shuttles between the hotel and the venue and the return are quoted from the schedule with a manifest as the group transportation page describes, and the network's Halifax coach operators cover larger groups.
Halifax's hotels, from the chauffeur's seat
The Westin Nova Scotian at the Seaport for the cruise passengers, the Lord Nelson on Spring Garden Road, the Prince George and the Marriott Harbourfront downtown, the Bedford hotels for the north-end families, the Alt at the airport for early departures, and the inns of Lunenburg and Chester on the South Shore. The travel desk books the room with the flights and the chauffeurs; the network chauffeur knows the harbour bridges' closures and the Halifax city site publishes them.
The Annapolis Valley, Cape Breton and the Maritime road trip
Wolfville and the Valley's wineries are an hour from the airport; Cape Breton and the Cabot Trail four hours; Prince Edward Island three by the Confederation Bridge; Moncton and Saint John in New Brunswick three and four. A Londoner's Maritime week that starts at YHZ is quoted by the desk as a programme with a network chauffeur for the days that need one and the travel desk's inns for the nights.
Booking checklist
The flight number and the airline at both ends; the Halifax address, hotel, cruise ship or South Shore inn; meet and greet or curbside; the vehicle class; the hours if it is a day by the hour; and the account or card. The desk confirms both ends in one email, timed to Atlantic time.
Halifax's airport for the London family and the student
Students from London at Dalhousie, Saint Mary's, King's and NSCAD fly home for the holidays with a network chauffeur from the South End to YHZ and a LondonLimo.net chauffeur at Pearson or Billy Bishop; parents fly east for graduation with a network SUV in the arrivals hall and a hotel on Spring Garden Road; the grandparents in Dartmouth and Bedford are collected for the flight to London at Christmas on the same household account. Discover Halifax describes the city for a first visit.
The flights, in practice
Air Canada and WestJet fly Pearson-Halifax many times a day; Porter flies Billy Bishop-Halifax on turboprops several times a day; WestJet flies Hamilton-Halifax and Flair flies Waterloo-Halifax by season; the two-hour flight lands an hour later by the clock. The Billy Bishop page has the pleasant London end of the Porter option, and the desk checks the week's schedule before booking the Halifax chauffeur.
Three questions the desk is asked about Halifax
Can the chauffeur wait through a cruise embarkation? The pickup is timed to the ship's boarding and the disembarkation run is booked for the morning the ship returns, so no waiting is needed. Is Peggy's Cove worth the detour from the airport? An hour each way by Highway 333, and a network chauffeur will wait while you walk to the lighthouse. Can we fly into Halifax and out of Moncton? Yes; the desk books a network chauffeur at each end and the run between them.
