Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF) at Cheektowaga, New York is 245 km and about two and three-quarter hours plus the border from London, Ontario: the 401 and 403 to Hamilton, the QEW to Fort Erie, the Peace Bridge to Buffalo and I-190 and the Kensington Expressway to the airport. It is the airport Ontarians use for the US fares - Southwest, JetBlue, Delta, American, United and Frontier price Buffalo departures for the American market - with a single terminal and two concourses. LondonLimo.net's cross-border chauffeurs drop at the terminal curb and meet arrivals at the lower-level baggage claim with a name board, flight-tracked; the fixed rate from any London address is a planning figure of $460-560 plus HST for a business sedan, $520-620 for an SUV, tolls and a normal bridge wait included. Everyone needs a passport or NEXUS.
Why Buffalo, from London
Because a family of four to Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas or Phoenix on Southwest or JetBlue from Buffalo can cost less than one person's fare from Pearson, and because Buffalo's terminal is small, quick and cheap to park at. The distance from London is the objection - it is the furthest of the eight airports on this site - and the answer is the arithmetic: on a family's fares the saving pays the chauffeured run both ways with money left, and the run itself is a chauffeur's two and three-quarter hours rather than yours, with the border handled. For a solo business traveller to New York or Chicago, Pearson or Billy Bishop wins; for the family holiday, Buffalo often does.

The drive: the 403, the QEW and the Peace Bridge
Two hours to Hamilton by the 401 and 403, then the QEW around the head of Lake Ontario through St. Catharines to Fort Erie and the Peace Bridge, which lands in Buffalo beside I-190; the airport is fifteen minutes further east on Route 33. The Queenston-Lewiston bridge from the QEW at Niagara-on-the-Lake is the alternative when the Peace Bridge is queued, and the Rainbow Bridge at Niagara Falls is the scenic one. The chauffeur checks the posted bridge waits on the QEW and chooses. The QEW through St. Catharines at 8 a.m. and the Friday afternoon of a US long weekend are the slow stretches; the plan allows for them.

The terminal
One building with the check-in hall on the upper level, a single TSA checkpoint feeding two concourses, and baggage claim on the lower level with the doors to the pickup lanes; the airport's site publishes the flight board and the parking. It is a proper mid-size American airport with none of the scale of Pearson, and the walk from the curb to the gate is ten minutes on a busy morning.
Documents and the border
A passport or NEXUS card for every passenger, PR cards for permanent residents, children's own passports and a consent letter where one parent travels; whatever US status a non-Canadian citizen's nationality requires. US CBP at the Peace Bridge admits each passenger individually; the chauffeur asks about documents the evening before because a refusal ends the vehicle's trip. On return, CBSA at Fort Erie or Queenston takes the declarations. The cross-border page has the detail; NEXUS lanes at both bridges cut the wait if everyone aboard holds a card.
The border wait in the price
Tolls both ways and a normal crossing of up to an hour are in the fixed rate; beyond an hour, waiting is charged in fifteen-minute blocks with the chauffeur telling you when the hour is passing. Sunday evenings after a Bills game and the end of a US long weekend are when it happens; weekday mornings it does not.
Departures: timing the pickup
Buffalo asks for two hours before a domestic departure; add the two-and-three-quarter-hour drive, the bridge and a buffer, and a 9 a.m. Southwest flight to Orlando is a 3:15 a.m. pickup from London. The chauffeur confirms the evening before and leaves earlier if Ontario 511 or the bridge cameras call for it. Many families book a Buffalo airport hotel the night before through the travel desk and a chauffeur at 6:30 for the ten-minute run, which turns the 3 a.m. into a civilised evening.
Arrivals: where the chauffeur meets you
At baggage claim on the lower level with a name board, or at the curb outside the lower-level doors when you text; thirty minutes of wait is included from the actual landing, which is tracked from origin, and delays are never charged. The flights from Florida land in the evening; the drive home to London through the Peace Bridge and the QEW at 9 p.m. is quiet, and the Canadian booths are quick at that hour except on holiday Sundays.

Niagara on the way
The route passes the Falls: a family flying home from Buffalo can spend the afternoon at Niagara Falls on the Ontario side on the way back to London on an hourly booking, or a couple can add a winery lunch on the bench; the Niagara page has the district and the wine tour page the estates. Buffalo's own attractions - the Bills at Highmark Stadium, the Sabres at KeyBank Center, the Elmwood Village, the architecture - are on the cross-border page.
Groups, families and the Sprinter
Fourteen in a Sprinter to a Buffalo Florida flight at a planning figure of $780-920 one way is under $70 a head, and the fares saved on fourteen Southwest tickets make it the cheapest way a large family or a group of friends gets to the sun; the Sprinter crosses at all three bridges. The group transportation page covers coaches for larger groups.
Corporate accounts and the Buffalo connection
London companies with western New York customers or a US office that connects through Buffalo use the run on a corporate account with the crossing in the standing rate; the Buffalo medical centre and the University at Buffalo are the other regular destinations, and the same chauffeur continues to them after the flight or instead of it.
The honest alternatives
Driving and parking at Buffalo is cheap and, for a couple with a civilised departure time, reasonable if one of you is happy to drive three hours each way and cross twice; the Toronto airports are closer for a solo traveller and for business routes; there is no train or bus from London to Buffalo's airport worth the name. For a family with luggage at 3 a.m., or anyone who would rather the border were someone else's problem, the chauffeured fixed rate is the answer. The comparison guide does the arithmetic.
Three Buffalo bookings, as they actually run
A family to Fort Lauderdale, February. An executive SUV from Oakridge at 3:10 a.m. for a 9:00 JetBlue departure; the Peace Bridge in ten minutes at that hour; at the counter by 6:20. The return met at baggage claim; home by midnight.
Fourteen friends to Las Vegas, October. A Sprinter from two houses in Masonville and Hyde Park at 4 a.m. for a 10:15 Southwest flight; the Queenston-Lewiston bridge; at the terminal by 7:45. Under $70 a head each way.
A couple home via the Falls, September. Met at baggage claim at 2 p.m. off a Denver flight; a Niagara-on-the-Lake winery lunch and an hour at the Falls on an hourly booking; home in Old South at 8.
Planning figures. Rates are LondonLimo.net planning ranges before HST, including tolls and a normal border wait; the engine quotes the exact address and date. Border rules are US CBP's and CBSA's; admissibility is each passenger's own responsibility. Airport and airline names describe where we drive and imply no affiliation.
The Bills, the Sabres and Buffalo itself
Buffalo is also a destination: Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park for the Bills, KeyBank Center downtown for the Sabres, the Elmwood Village and Allentown, the Darwin Martin House, and the Canalside waterfront. A Bills Sunday from London is a Sprinter of fourteen with the Peace Bridge in the price and an hour allowed for the return crossing; the concerts, sports and events page prices it and the cross-border page explains the border.
Hamilton and St. Catharines on the way
The route passes Hamilton's airport at Mount Hope and the city itself, then St. Catharines and Brock University; a passenger from Hamilton or St. Catharines joining a London booking is collected as a stop, and a Hamilton traveller to Buffalo airport is a shorter fixed rate on the engine. The destinations hub has the planning figures.
Winter on the QEW and the Peace Bridge
The QEW around the lake is the province's best-maintained highway and rarely closes; the 401 between London and Woodstock is the risk, and the chauffeur re-routes via Highway 7/8 or leaves earlier when Ontario 511 says so. Buffalo's own lake-effect snow off Lake Erie is famous and can close the airport for hours in December and January; the chauffeur tracks the flight and never charges a delay. Winter tires from November to April; all-wheel-drive SUVs on the bad days.
Booking it
The cross-border service is booked by the desk or WhatsApp with the flight, the London address and the passengers' citizenship so documents can be confirmed the evening before; simple Buffalo runs with a known time can be entered on the reservation engine with "Buffalo Niagara International Airport" as the destination and the desk confirms the crossing. The rates page puts Buffalo, Detroit and the Ontario airports side by side.
Three questions the desk is asked about Buffalo
Can we book a Buffalo hotel and the run together? Yes - the travel desk puts the airport hotel and both chauffeured legs on one file, which most families do for a morning departure. Does the chauffeur wait through a delayed flight home? Yes, tracked from origin and never charged. Can a Sprinter cross at the Rainbow Bridge? Yes, at all three Niagara crossings; only the Detroit tunnel excludes it.
The chauffeur's knowledge of the airport
The lower-level commercial lanes, the door baggage claim exits through, the upper-level curb by the Southwest and JetBlue counters, and the Route 33 approach that avoids the Genesee Street lights: the chauffeurs who run Buffalo know the airport and the three bridges, and the text on landing says exactly where to walk.
Pets, strollers and the family kit
Car seats and boosters are fitted before the pickup if you give the ages; strollers ride in the bay; pets travel in a carrier with notice. The airlines' rules on pets in the cabin and gate-checked strollers are their own, and the chauffeur allows for the extra minutes at the curb a family with all three needs.
