Black car in London · 2026-09-21 · 8-minute read
Canada Life Place in London, Ontario is the arena at 99 Dundas Street at King and Talbot - opened in 2002 as the John Labatt Centre, called Budweiser Gardens from 2012, and renamed Canada Life Place on October 11, 2024 under a ten-year naming deal - where the London Knights play from September to the OHL playoffs, the Lightning play basketball, the arena tours stop between Toronto and Detroit, and the family shows and graduations fill the floor. It has a King Street entrance facing the market and a Dundas Street entrance facing the core, garages on Talbot, King and Richmond that are full by 6:30 for a 7 o'clock game, and a taxi rank on Dundas with three cabs for nine thousand people at the horn; LondonLimo.net drops at the entrance the tickets name, waits at the Talbot garage, and collects from Talbot and King by text at a fixed in-city planning figure of $40-70 for a sedan. The venues page has the arena and this article the night, door by door.
The two entrances
The King Street entrance faces Covent Garden Market across King Street and is the drop for most hockey nights; the Dundas Street entrance faces the core and Dundas Place and is the drop for many concerts and the box office; the tickets or the event's page say which, and the chauffeur pulls up at the one named rather than the first gap. The City of London's closure notices cover the nights Dundas Place is pedestrianised.

The garages, and why the car waits elsewhere
The Talbot Street garage beside the arena, the King Street garage and the Richmond Street garages are full by 6:30 on a game night and take forty minutes to empty at the horn; the chauffeur drops at the door at 6:35, parks on a street four minutes away or in a garage's upper level, and is at the pickup corner within four minutes of the text. The venues page has the garages.

The pickup corner: Talbot and King
At the horn nine thousand people leave through both entrances, the Dundas Street rank has three cabs, the apps show a multiple, and the streets around the arena are a crawl for twenty minutes; the chauffeurs' usual corner is Talbot and King on the arena's south side, reached from the King Street entrance in two minutes and clear of the Dundas crowd, and the passenger texts at the final buzzer and walks to the corner while the car comes round. A concert's corner may differ, and the chauffeur agrees it at the drop.
The Knights
Thirty-four home games from September to March and the playoffs into May, at 7 p.m. on weeknights and 2 p.m. on some Sundays; a household that goes to ten games a season books a standing sedan from the door to the King Street entrance and a return from Talbot and King moved by text, on a household account. The Knights article has the season and the Knights' site the schedule.
The concerts
The arena tours stop at Canada Life Place between Toronto and Detroit dates, with doors at 6:30 or 7 and the encore around 10:45; the pickup corner is agreed at the drop and moved by text at the last song, and the concert article has the night with London Music Hall and the Grand beside it.
The family shows and the graduations
The touring family shows on weekend afternoons and the high schools' graduation ceremonies in June fill the arena with parents and children, and an SUV with the car seats from Byron to the King Street door and back from Talbot and King at the end is the family's booking; the prom and graduation page has the graduation night that follows.
The pre-game dinner
Richmond Row's restaurants ten minutes north, the market's food hall across King Street, the Delta's and the DoubleTree's restaurants a block away: a game night from Byron is a 5:15 pickup, dinner on the Row, the arena's door at 6:45, and the corner at the horn, as two fixed rates or four hours by the hour; the hourly page explains the choice.
The group
Six friends in an SUV, fourteen in a Sprinter, thirty in a party bus through the partner fleet: the group is dropped at the entrance and collected from the corner, at $50-85 for the SUV each way and the Sprinter and bus by the hour; the concerts and sports page and the party bus page have the vehicles, and Ontario's rules on alcohol are applied by every chauffeur.
The visitor's arena night
A Sarnia couple, a Stratford family or a Toronto fan following the visiting team books the destination page's run to the arena and a hotel a block away, or the return the same night with the chauffeur waiting through the game; the downtown hotels article has the stay.
Three arena nights, as they went
A Knights game, November. A luxury sedan for a couple from Sunningdale to the King Street door at 6:35; the chauffeur on a Talbot Street side street; home twelve minutes after the horn.
An arena concert, March. An executive SUV for six from Westmount to the Dundas Street entrance at 6:45; the corner agreed at King and Ridout; collected at 11:05 after the encore.
A graduation, June. An SUV for grandparents and the graduate's family from Lambeth to the King Street door at 5:30; collected at Talbot and King at 8:15; dinner in Wortley Village after.
Booking it
Two fixed-rate journeys on the reservation engine - the outbound to the entrance and the return from the corner at an approximate time you move by text - or an evening by the hour; groups and buses are quoted by the desk; the venues page has the arena.
Three questions the desk is asked about the arena
Which door for a concert? The event's page names it, and it varies; the chauffeur checks the arena's site the day before and the drop is at the door named. Can the car wait outside? Not on King or Dundas on a game night; the chauffeur waits on a side street and comes to the corner on the text. Can we be dropped at Covent Garden Market for dinner first? Yes - the market's King Street door is across the street from the arena's King Street entrance, and the walk after dinner is one minute.
The arena, briefly
Opened in October 2002 as the John Labatt Centre, renamed Budweiser Gardens in 2012 and Canada Life Place in October 2024, the arena seats about nine thousand for hockey and more for concerts, with the Knights as the tenant since it opened and the Lightning since 2011; the Knights' site has the schedule and the venues page the building.
The core around it
Covent Garden Market across King Street, RBC Place a block south, the DoubleTree and the Delta a block away, Dundas Place's restaurants north, Richmond Row ten minutes north, and the forks five minutes west: the downtown hotels article has the stay and the attractions page the core.
The household's season
Ten games a season from Byron, the same sedan from the door to the King Street entrance at 6:35 and the same corner at the horn, booked in a minute each on a household account with the same chauffeur where the roster allows; the black car service page describes the account and the Knights article the season.
The visiting fan
A fan of the visiting team from Kitchener, Windsor or Sarnia books the destination page's run to the arena and the return the same night with the chauffeur waiting through the game, or a downtown hotel a block away; the Kitchener-Waterloo page and the Windsor page have the figures.
The corporate box
A company's box at the arena for clients is a Sprinter from the office or the hotels to the King Street door and back from the corner on the corporate account, and the group transportation page has the manifest.
The winter arena night
A January game night is a warm SUV at the door, a drop at the entrance rather than a walk from a garage, and a corner pickup with the car's heat on while the passenger walks two minutes; the winter article has the roads and the fleet page the tires.
The rate that does not surge, in numbers
A sedan from Byron to the arena is $45-65 at 6:30 and $45-65 at 9:50, while the apps at 9:50 show a multiple and the rank has three cabs; the comparison guide does the arithmetic and the rates page has the ranges.
Booking checklist for the arena night
The event and the entrance the tickets name; the pickup address and time; the pre-game dinner; the approximate end and the corner; the passengers; the vehicle class; fixed rates or the evening by the hour; the account or the card; and a phone number for the corner text. The reservation engine takes two fixed rates and the desk the group.
A worked example: the playoff night
Game 5 of a second-round series on a Friday in April, sold out in an hour; a Sunningdale couple booked the sedan on Monday for the King Street door at 6:30 and the corner at Talbot and King at an approximate 9:45; the chauffeur waited on a Talbot Street side street, the text came at 9:52, the car was at the corner at 9:56, and the couple were home at 10:15 past the nine thousand people looking at their phones. The Knights' site had the schedule and the Knights article has the season.
Booking it, in one line
The reservation engine takes two fixed rates - the entrance and the corner - and the desk the group's Sprinter or bus.
The desk's rule of thumb
The entrance the tickets name; the corner at Talbot and King; the text at the horn; the sedan for two, the SUV for six, the Sprinter for fourteen; and the household account for the season. The FAQ has the questions fans ask most.
The market across the street
Covent Garden Market's food hall faces the arena's King Street entrance, and a family's pre-game dinner at the market's kitchens is a drop at the market's King Street door at 5:45, a one-minute walk to the arena at 6:45, and the corner at the horn; the attractions page has the market.
