London, Ontario's hospitals are London Health Sciences Centre's University Hospital on Windermere Road and Victoria Hospital with the Children's Hospital on Commissioners Road East, and St. Joseph's Health Care's St. Joseph's Hospital on Grosvenor Street and Parkwood Institute on Wellington Road South - four campuses with a dozen public entrances, each with a drop-off loop, a garage that fills by 9 a.m., and a chauffeur's knowledge of which door an appointment letter means. LondonLimo.net drives patients, families and visiting physicians to every one at a fixed in-city planning figure of $40-60 for a sedan, waits by the hour or returns on a text, arranges wheelchair-accessible vans through the partner fleet, and drives the region's referred patients from Sarnia, Windsor and Chatham at the destination pages' rates; the hospitals page has the service and this article the entrances.
University Hospital, Windermere Road
The main entrance faces Windermere Road with a drop-off loop under the canopy and the information desk inside; the emergency entrance is separate and to the east; the Kellogg building and the clinics have their own doors off the loop; the parking garage is beside the main entrance and full by 9. A chauffeur drops at the canopy, helps to the desk if wanted, and waits in the garage or returns on a text; a patient for the transplant, cardiac, neurosciences or epilepsy programs, or a visiting physician for the Schulich school, is at this door. Ten to fifteen minutes from downtown; the neighbourhoods page has the drive times from each part of the city.

Victoria Hospital and the Children's Hospital, Commissioners Road
Victoria's campus is a set of connected buildings along Commissioners Road East with three public entrances the chauffeurs use: the main entrance with its loop and the information desk; the cancer centre's own entrance on the campus's west side, where the regional program's clinics and the radiation suites are, and where a daily radiation patient is dropped for six weeks; and the Children's Hospital's coloured entrance, where a paediatric patient and the parents are dropped with the car seat and the toys. The garages fill by 9 and the loops are tight; the chauffeur knows which loop the appointment means, and the hospitals page has the service.

St. Joseph's Hospital, Grosvenor Street
St. Joseph's main doors are on Grosvenor Street in Old North, with a short drop-off in front and the Richmond Street side for some clinics; the day-surgery patient collected at the time the recovery nurse gives is the commonest booking, and the chauffeur is at the Grosvenor doors at that minute, drives the eight minutes home slowly, and sees the patient inside. The hand and upper limb centre, the breast care program, the diabetes clinics, ophthalmology and the fertility clinic are all inside these doors.
Parkwood Institute, Wellington Road South
Parkwood's main entrance on Wellington Road South serves the rehabilitation programs, the complex-care and veterans' care buildings and the mental-health program, with a loop at the main doors and lots along the drive; a weekly rehabilitation outpatient, a family visiting a long-stay patient from out of town, and a veteran's family for an event are the bookings, and wheelchair-accessible vans through the partner fleet are arranged for Parkwood more than for any other campus.
The waiting rules, at every entrance
A fixed-rate journey includes thirty minutes at a hospital address after the booked time; a return is booked for an approximate time and moved by text from inside the hospital without a fee, with the desk holding it open; an hourly booking waits as long as the appointment takes at $95-115 an hour for a sedan with a three-hour minimum. The chauffeur waits in the garage or the lot and is at the door in four minutes on a text; the hourly page explains when the hourly booking beats two fixed rates.
The referral towns, to the right door
A patient from Sarnia for University Hospital's cardiology, from Chatham for the Children's Hospital, from Stratford for St. Joseph's day surgery, from Goderich for Victoria's cancer centre: the destination pages have the fixed rate from each town, and the desk books the run to the specific entrance with the chauffeur waiting through the appointment or returning on a text - the Sarnia page at $195-235, the Chatham page at $200-240, the Stratford page at $130-160.
Wheelchairs, walkers and the accessible van
A passenger who travels in their own wheelchair is booked into a wheelchair-accessible van with a ramp or a lift through the partner fleet, with a chauffeur trained to secure the chair; a passenger with a walker or a folding chair travels in any vehicle with the aid in the trunk; the fleet page has the classes and the desk needs notice at booking.
The visiting physician and the delegation
A Schulich examiner from McGill, a device company's representative for an operating-room day, a hospital delegation from abroad: met at Pearson or YXU with a board, driven to the hotel and to the campus's right entrance, on a departmental or corporate account; the universities page describes the medical school's bookings.
What we are not
A chauffeured car service for passengers who can travel seated, not a medical transfer or an ambulance; stretcher patients and anyone needing care in transit are the hospital's and the paramedic service's; the hospitals page states the line and the chauffeurs keep to it.
Three hospital journeys, as they went
Radiation, six weeks, Victoria's cancer centre entrance. A Grand Bend patient at a Wellington Road hotel; a sedan to the cancer centre's own doors at 8:15 each weekday and back at 9:30; the same chauffeur four days in five.
Day surgery, St. Joseph's Grosvenor doors. An Old South patient dropped at 6:45 a.m.; collected at 2:10 p.m. on the recovery nurse's call to the desk; home slowly; seen inside.
A paediatric consult, the Children's Hospital entrance. A Wallaceburg family in an SUV with a car seat; the coloured entrance at 10:40; four hours waiting; home by 5.
Booking it
The reservation engine prices any London address to any hospital entrance in seconds; the desk books a treatment series, a family's week or an accessible van, and holds a return open for a time set from inside.
Three questions the desk is asked about the hospitals
Which hospital is which? University Hospital on Windermere Road in the north is LHSC's tertiary campus for cardiac, transplant and neurosciences; Victoria Hospital on Commissioners Road in the south is LHSC's general, cancer, maternity, trauma and children's campus; St. Joseph's on Grosvenor Street in Old North is the ambulatory and specialty hospital; Parkwood on Wellington Road South is rehabilitation and complex care. Can the chauffeur come inside? To the information desk, with the passenger, if wanted; not to the clinic. Is there a charge for waiting? Thirty minutes at the door on a fixed rate; beyond that, the hourly rate in half-hour increments, or the day by the hour from the start.
University Hospital's garage and loop, in detail
The main garage is beside the Windermere Road entrance and full by 9 on a weekday; the drop-off loop under the canopy takes a car for three minutes; the chauffeur drops, moves to the garage's upper levels or a Windermere Road street, and returns on a text. The neighbourhoods page has Old North's and Masonville's drive times to it.
Victoria's three loops, in detail
The main entrance's loop off Commissioners Road; the cancer centre's own loop on the campus's west drive, quieter and closer to the radiation suites; the Children's Hospital's loop with its coloured canopy on the east side. Each has its own garage or lot and each fills; the chauffeur knows which loop and which lot, and the hospitals page has the campus.
St. Joseph's and Parkwood, in detail
St. Joseph's Grosvenor Street drop is short and the garage is on the campus's south side, reached from Richmond Street; Parkwood's main entrance is off Wellington Road South with lots along the drive and the buildings spread across the grounds. The St. Joseph's article has the day-surgery pickup.
The other medical sites
The Mount Hope Centre for Long Term Care, the Byron Family Medical Centre, the private imaging and diagnostic clinics on Wellington Road and in the north, the dialysis units, the fertility and cosmetic clinics, the physiotherapists: each is an in-city fixed rate, and the chauffeur asks for the clinic's door at booking. The black car service page has the in-city logic.
The rules the chauffeur follows
No questions about the appointment; the pace the passenger's comfort sets; help as much as wanted and no more; the bags to the door; a text to whoever asked; and nothing said to anyone afterward, under the confidentiality code. A medical journey is private, and the privacy policy says how the booking's details are handled.
Booking checklist for a hospital journey
The campus and the entrance the letter names; the appointment time and how early the letter asks; the pickup address; whether the chauffeur waits or returns on a text; the companion; a walker, a wheelchair or an accessible van; the pharmacy stop; the account or the card; and a phone number. The reservation engine takes the journey and the desk the series.
The LHSC and St. Joseph's sites, for the rest
Both hospitals publish campus maps, entrance names, visiting hours, parking rates and emergency wait estimates on their own sites, and the desk reads them; this article is the chauffeur's version of the same maps, and the hospitals' sites are the authority on the day.
A worked example: the wrong entrance, avoided
A Windsor family booked a run to "Victoria Hospital" for a child's appointment, and the desk asked which building; the letter said the Children's Hospital, whose coloured entrance is on the campus's east side a five-minute walk from the main doors the family would have used, and the chauffeur dropped at the right one with the car seat and the stroller. The desk asks the question on every hospital booking, and the hospitals page has the campuses.
